The American Legion Riders, Turner Chapter 111 is inviting all Riders to the participate in a short 4th of July Parade to be held in Turner. The Parade begins at the intersection of Upper Street & Matthew Way at Schweppes Store.

The parade heads down Matthew way and takes a left at Lower Street at the Leavitt Area High School. It’s less than a mile but it will be the first showing of Riders in Turner. When American Legion Commander Warren Clark raised the question of accepting the Riders in 2007 it was quickly tabled to prevent the Chapter from organizing. After it became an official program it was raised again and it was accepted with less resistance.

Warren Clark is now the past Commander and director of the Riders. We have obtained a hot dog cart and have permission to sell hot dogs after the parade but we have no money.

Any riders have experience selling hot dogs and would like to help and split the profits?
